ClickMind LLC (formerly Neaton Mathematics) can train either virtually or in-person. Training modules are typically two one-hour sessions.
Adoption of ClickMath for a class, grade level, or district is simple. We can have the application active within a week or less, usually within 48 hours of signing up.
Getting student accounts set up only requires enrolling each student by creating their usernames and passwords. The application is accessible via web, and we have a roadmap for launching Apple and Android store apps. Currently the application is visually optimized for both desktop and tablet.
Currently, ClickMath helps students master whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percent. We intend to expand Clickmath to include more math concepts including SAT Prep-style challenges for college exams.
Mastery Learning, also known as Learning for Mastery (LFM) and Mastery Education, is an educational philosophy that shifts the definition of student aptitude.
In the traditional approach, content is taught for a set amount of time, and a student's aptitude is based on how much they learned in that amount of time.
In Mastery Learning, a student's aptitude is based on how long they need to master the content, and all students (given enough time and intervention) are assumed to be able to eventually master the content.
The purpose of Mastery Learning is to ensure that students truly master each course's subject material before moving on to the next course. In a traditional model, students who do not master the content in the set amount of time are rarely given additional time or opportunity to re-learn what they missed. These students often fall further behind, which leads to loss of confidence that greatly affects the child's self-esteem and future educational development.
Students are considered to have achieved mastery on a workout, quiz, or test by scoring at least 90% within a preset amount of time. The ClickMath algorithm works to optimize training to help each student achieve mastery.
The educator dashboard gives an at-a-glance view of an entire grade, class, or individual student progress view. Teachers can see where students are having challenges, their speed of response, and overall progress. Data is available instantly. As soon as a student completes a workout, quiz, or test the database is updated. Teachers can view individual and class progress reports, individual and class work logs, and progress checklists. Our dashboard is continually evolving and we will add more data points incrementally.
We offer free setup and educator/administrator training complimentary with the program. We also offer on-site setup and training starting at $250 (depending on faculty size and school location).
Our core program is designed for students in grades 1–12, but we also offer a specialized kindergarten learning track, available to both schools and parents. For our youngest learners in K–2, students are provided extra time per activity, giving students the opportunity to master keyboard skills and build essential processing abilities.
Yes! Students on average complete 4 to 8 workouts per 40-minute session. They are motivated by the desire to level up and receive dinosaur micro rewards. We are continuing to expand the product and have plans for new visuals, custom user avatars, friend invites, and leaderboards.
